Conference Wide Gropp, Robert [1]. AIBS Communicating Science to Decision-makers. This three-hour session provides scientists with practical information, resources, and tools to more effectively communicate science to decision-makers. The program will explore different techniques for educating and engaging the public, policy/lawmaker, and the news media. In addition to learning about how different audiences receive information, we will learn how to frame and deliver a message to increase the likelihood of it being received by the target audience. We will also consider how current political and policy debates inform and influence how scientists should communicate with different audiences. This session includes some small group, interactive exercises. Log in to add this item to your schedule
